An “‘old salt’” in the England/English speaking naval services is often a raconteur, or teller of sea stories. Much of the history and traditions of the naval services are passed from generation to generation to generation of service members by these sea stories as told and retold and told and retold by old sea salts. Sea stories may be truthful, half-truths, or falsehoods.
I’m Shannon. I live in LA and work in TV. I’m an old soul and the daughter of a sailor. I'm spinnin' yarns and tellin' tales out of school. I’m passionate about journalism, photography, fashion, knitting, whiskey and cycling - but serious about none of them. I hate Twitter. I begrudge Pinterest. I eat way too many peanut butter M&Ms. I’ve tried to start way too many blogs and couldn’t stay focused, so I started to start a blog without a focus. And here I am - hopefully I’l gain a little clarity along the way.
I apologize in advance for my overuse of parentheses and hyphens.
